Messy Play

Messy Play Mornings at Red House Farm will re-start Friday 9th February running from 10.30 am – 11.30 am running every second Friday during term time

Messy play contributes enormously to the development of a child’s cognitive and creative abilities. It allows a child to explore their senses by providing the opportunity to pour, mix, squeeze and squelch materials not normally available to them. Also, not having to produce something in particular, leaves a child free to explore all sorts of possibilities. It taps into a child’s curiosity about the world around them and feeds their irresistible urge to try new things out and experiment.

The great facilities we have at the farm in our children's party room  gives us plenty of space to explore each activity at their own pace in a (relatively!) calm, relaxed environment, whilst encouraging interaction with their new friends. Each week your child can have fun with colours, water, sand and play-dough and explore themed gloops and goos.

At the end of each session we have warm soapy water for your children to get clean again – we ask that you bring a towel and a spare change of clothes each week for your child. May we advise you to wear old clothes too – it is messy play !

The best thing about Messy Play at Red House Farm? Making as much mess as you want that you wouldn’t do in your own home! Numbers are being limited to 20 per session.
